Activity Overview
Addressing Healthcare Inequities®, one of PER’s signature educational formats, is a video-based program in which clinical experts engage in candid conversation about the pressing issues of healthcare inequities seen in practice. This format is effective in helping clinicians consider how they might address issues such as gender and/or race bias, social determinants of health, and access to care limitations. The peer-to-peer exchange fosters an open and honest discussion on inequities, barriers to optimal care, and potential interventions that can be implemented to improve care and outcomes for all patients. In this activity, these faculty will explore these and other themes as they relate to the diagnosis and management of women with hemophilia.
Target Audience
This educational activity is directed toward hemophilia specialists, hematologists, women’s health specialists, primary care physicians, specialty care clinicians, NPs, PAs, RNs, and other HCPs that manage patients with hemophilia.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this activity, you should be better prepared to:
- Summarize the disease burden associated with hemophilia in women
- Integrate strategies to identify women with hemophilia
