Release Date: December 12, 2025
Expiration Date: December 12, 2026
Activity Overview
Despite recent advances, small cell lung cancer (SCLC) remains one of the most aggressive and treatment-resistant malignancies; there has been limited progress in improving long-term survival. The integration of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) has begun to reshape management, yet optimal sequencing, patient selection, and strategies to overcome resistance remain areas of ongoing uncertainty and clinical need.
Cases and Conversations™: Transforming Small Cell Lung Cancer Treatment Through Emerging Evidence and Expert Insights, held in conjunction with the 43rd Annual Chemotherapy Foundation Symposium (CFS®), features an interactive, case-based discussion led by a multidisciplinary panel of experts. Through real-world patient scenarios, data summaries, and audience polling, faculty explore evolving ICI-based strategies in limited-stage (LS) and extensive-stage (ES) SCLC, practical considerations for integrating novel agents such as tarlatamab and lurbinectedin, and the emerging role of antibody-drug conjugates in the treatment of ES-SCLC.
This educational activity is an archive of the live virtual symposium held on November 14, 2025.
Target Audience
This educational activity is directed toward physicians, advanced practice professionals, nurses, pharmacists, and other health care practitioners who manage SCLC in their patients.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this activity, you should be better prepared to:
- Describe current evidence supporting the use of immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and chemotherapy in LS- and ES-SCLC
- Identify common and severe treatment-related adverse events associated with newer SCLC therapies and appropriate management strategies
- Interpret pivotal trial data and safety findings for novel therapies being evaluated for the treatment of SCLC
