Activity Overview
Endocrine therapy remains the cornerstone of management for patients with early-stage, hormone receptor–positive/human epidermal growth factor receptor 2–negative (HR+/HER2–) breast cancer. For patients at higher risk of recurrence, additional treatment can offer benefit in terms of prolonged disease control and survival. As the number of available treatment options continues to grow, selecting the right therapy for the right patient has become increasingly complex.
This program brings together experts in the management of HR+ breast cancer to discuss best practices for identifying patients who are most in need of additional adjuvant treatment. Discussions focus on the role of targeted agents in the adjuvant setting, as well as the potential use of novel endocrine approaches and immunotherapy. These discussions are presented in the Medical Crossfire® format, designed to present challenging decision points for the faculty to consider and debate.
This educational activity is an archive of the live virtual symposium held at the 43rd Annual Miami Breast Cancer Conference® on March 5, 2026.
Target Audience
This educational activity is directed toward medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, oncology nurses, advanced practice professionals, pathologists, and other health care practitioners who manage patients with breast cancer.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this activity, you should be better prepared to:
- Evaluate clinical evidence supporting the use of current and emerging therapies in the adjuvant treatment of HR+/HER2– early breast cancer
- Design individualized treatment strategies that incorporate genomic profiling and clinicopathologic risk factors to optimize outcomes in patients with early-stage HR+/HER2– breast cancer
- Implement best practices to support adherence and tolerability, including shared decision-making, patient education, and proactive management of treatment-related toxicities for early-stage HR+/HER2– breast cancer
