Activity Overview
C3 glomerulopathy (C3G) is a rare, complement-mediated kidney disease characterized by abnormal activation of the complement system, resulting in excessive deposition of the complement protein C3 in the glomeruli and subsequent inflammation and injury. To address unmet needs and education gaps, this online activity features international clinician-researchers discussing the latest insights in C3G, including best practices in diagnosis and emerging approaches to treatment. The activity will also feature a firsthand perspective from a patient living with the condition, offering clinicians a deeper understanding of its real-world impact.
Target Audience
This educational activity is directed toward nephrologists, nephrology nurses, renal dieticians, primary care providers, NPs, PAs, RNs, and other health care professionals involved in the care of patients with C3G.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this activity, you should be better prepared to:
- Review the clinical burden of C3G on patient QOL and health outcomes
- Identify the appropriate imaging and testing modalities for the diagnosis of C3G subtypes
- Analyze the safety and efficacy of targeted agents for C3G
- Design individualized management plans for patients with C3G
