Activity Overview

Despite major advances with third-generation EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), disease progression remains inevitable for most patients with EGFR-mutated metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and optimal post-osimertinib sequencing remains an area of significant clinical uncertainty. Decisions are increasingly complex, influenced by resistance mechanisms, prior chemotherapy exposure, central nervous system (CNS) disease status, and the evolving benefit-risk profiles of antibody-based and combination strategies. Clinicians must integrate molecular data, real-world feasibility, and safety considerations to individualize second-line and later treatment pathways.

Show Me the Data™: Post-TKI Sequencing in EGFR-Mutated NSCLC—Optimizing Current Strategies and Preparing for New Treatment Modalities, held in conjunction with the 2026 Winter Lung Cancer Conference, features an interactive, case-based discussion led by expert faculty. Using real-world patient scenarios, audience polling, and data-driven debate, the panel examines post-osimertinib resistance workup; evidence supporting current second-line options, including chemotherapy, amivantamab-based regimens, and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs); and the emerging role of PD-1×VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor) bispecific antibodies. Faculty will challenge one another to “show the data” behind key sequencing decisions, with a focus on efficacy, safety trade-offs, and practical implementation in contemporary oncology practice.

This educational activity is an archive of the live presentation held on Friday, January 23, 2026.

Target Audience

This educational activity is directed toward medical and thoracic oncologists, pulmonologists, pathologists, advanced practice providers, nurses, pharmacists, and other health care professionals involved in the management of NSCLC.

Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of this activity, you should be better prepared to:

  • Apply the latest evidence on currently available therapeutic strategies to optimize second-line treatment selection in EGFR-mutant metastatic NSCLC following progression on frontline tyrosine kinase inhibitor–based therapy
  • Evaluate emerging data on PD-1×VEGF bispecifics in EGFR-mutant metastatic NSCLC to determine the potential impact on treatment sequencing
  • Differentiate safety profiles and monitoring requirements across current and emerging treatment options for second-line EGFR-mutant metastatic NSCLC
